This Mother’s Day, I’m participating in Y-ME’s Walk to Empower because I want to ensure no one has to face breast cancer alone. My goal is to raise at least $150 and I invite you to help me.

Our funds will benefit Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization, which is celebrating 30 years of offering free-of-charge programs and services. The Y-ME Hotline (800-221-2141) is the only 24/7 hotline staffed entirely by trained peer counselors who are breast cancer survivors.

I hope you will make a contribution to my campaign in support of this outstanding organization. Every dollar helps.

Why I'm walking

Y-ME is an incredible organization. While other breast cancer organizations are pushing for a cure for the future, Y-ME is helping those that are fighting the disease today. I'm walking to make sure that support stays available for everyone as they work to beat breast cancer.

As most of you know, I've been focusing on becoming more healthy in everything I do. Last year I wanted to walk but doubted I could complete it. This year I'm confident I'll cross that finish line. It may be slower, but when walking with LUPEC one can be assured it will be done with style.
